What: 2-day Agile & Scrum Kickstart course + follow-up coaching (optional)
Who: Companies & teams that have no or little Agile experience and that want to move towards an Agile development process
When: On request
Follow-up (optional): In-house; Duration and frequency to be determined and agreed
In this 2-day agile & scrum kickstarter course, you will learn the underlying principles of performing work in an agile way and how this practically works by applying the Scrum framework.
During the course, you will learn the different involved roles, artefacts and scrum ceremonies that are being used throughout the framework. By performing team-based exercises, you will experience and practise the scrum mechanics in a collaborative way and gain more insight about the do’s and don’ts of the framework.
Upon completion of the course, you will have gained enough insight on the foundations of Agile and Scrum to start implementing it at your own organisation.
Getting trained on Agile & Scrum is usually only the first step on getting involved in Agile processes. After this first step, the most important step comes: putting Agile & Scrum into practise and applying what you have learned in your initial training.
Our general experience is that this is the part where most companies struggle with in the beginning of their transformation. To help companies with this important facet, we can provide optional training after-care in the form of customised follow-up coaching sessions to make sure that their adaptation to a new Agile way of working will progress in an efficient way.
Follow-up coaching content is not fixed to a particular topic but can be anything: assisting product owners with backlog definition and refinement, helping with defining good definitions-of-done, facilitating different types of retrospective exercises etc. are just a few examples within the range of possibilities. In general, we will adapt our follow-up coaching content to your needs and make sure your teams keep on learning and improving the Agile way.
Your trainer for this course will be Sven Schippers, who is actively practising agile coaching and scrum master roles on a day to day basis within the context of consultant missions where he helps different companies with their agile transformation processes.
His experience covers both traditional local and remote software engineering environments, as well as less ordinary oriented teams such as electro-mechanical engineering involving different aspects such as electro-mechanical design, embedded software development, production, testing etc. The day to day agile activities at various companies provide many different useful insights and learning aspects that are continuously used to enrich the content of our trainings.
